If you haven't realized it yet.... Change is Inevitable. Changes occur everyday. Change is that beautiful transition that allows you to learn and grow. Change can be that uncomfortable challenge in life that helps you build character. Change is absolutely wonderful and once you begin to embrace change, life gets easier to manage. Let's talk a bit about why being able to adapt to change is so important from my point of view.

l snapped the photo above at The Trinity River located in Fort Worth, Tx. I absolutely love this photo. I love what it represents. From my perspective, if those rocks weren't there, the water would have a greater width to flow smoothly. Because the rocks are there, the water has to adjust briefly slipping through the small space in between for a very short period of time before flowing again in a greater amount of space. That short lived adjustment is what we experience regularly throughout our lives. Some people adapt well to change, while others view changes as extremely challenging in which they are unable to adapt with a positive mindset.

I believe I adapt well to change. I've grown to appreciate change because I learn and grow from each experience. Whether you're going through organizational changes or life changes, being able to adapt is important. People that adapt to change tend to be more successful, have a more positive outlook on life, have greater relationships, and are happier more often. People who adapt to change well plan ahead, think about the opportunities around the change, and make necessary adjustments throughout the transition.

For those who are unable to adapt to change, they tend to focus on the negative side of the spectrum of that particular change. When that emotion occurs, it deters their mindset to one that complains without solutions. They tend to try and gather a group of more people in disagreement with the change, and ultimately a snowball effect begins. Regret evolves, anger ensues, joy diminishes, and irrational decisions can occur. None of these emotions in regards to the change is helpful.

Here are some reasons why your ability to adapt to change can help you tremendously throughout your journeys.

-Embracing and accepting change allows you to learn consistently.
-The best leaders view change as opportunities.
-You develop a greater level of flexibility in your life.
-You'll experience a higher level of being open to new ideas and experiences.
-You'll become a more optimistic individual.
-People will appreciate your perspectives and advice.
-You will have more positive experiences.
-You'll be able to deal with challenging situations with a clear mind.

Those are just a few benefits of being able to adapt to change. I am pretty routine in my day to day life, but my ability to adapt to changes that occur have helped me become a better leader and an overall better person. Start embracing change with a positive attitude and watch your happiness flourish!

Sending you all Love, Peace, and Light!
